Refund policy

Refund Policy for Portrait Sessions and Prints

In the case of camera failure, inclement weather, or any other unforeseen incident that prevents Samantha Jackson Photography (SJP) from shooting on a scheduled date a new date will be scheduled.

No refund will be given under any circumstances if you fail to attend the activity on the day and at the time listed, when the booking was made.

Due to the nature of digital photography and the fact that photographs, once sent, cannot be returned; SJP has a strict NO REFUNDS POLICY. Once a transaction has been completed (i.e., the buyer selected and paid for the photo and then SJP sent the buyer the correct photograph) it is then considered non-refundable. If a buyer has selected and purchased an incorrect photo, he/she must notify SJP, before receiving the “incorrect” photograph.

Refunds will NOT be given due to “not liking a photo”, selecting an incorrect photo after the buyer has already received the photograph or any other reason. If a mistaken photo is sent to the buyer, as documented on the invoice, SJP will send the correct photo to the buyer free of charge.

Policies
All prints and products are subject to your state sales tax and shipping when applicable. Due to the nature of custom photography, all sales are final. SJP does, of course, guarantee that the portraits you receive meet the highest standards in every respect and works with the customers to approve designs and custom work before orders are placed.

Payment of orders is due in full when the order is placed. Prints and products arrive 4-6 weeks after payment is received. Rush shipment is available on some items for an additional charge. All rates are subject to change at any time. In the interest of fairness to all customers, all rates are non-negotiable unless booked through a special promotion.

The session fee is paid in advance to secure your chosen date. It is non-refundable should you cancel, but is transferable to another date in the event you wish to amend your booking with at least 48 hours notice. Special consideration is made for maternity and newborn sessions. 

Refund/Exchange Policy for Custom Photo Books
Due to the custom pre-designed nature of these services, there are no refunds on any design order. Albums ordered are considered a custom product and therefore there are no refunds on any album orders. Flush Mount and Coffee Table Books are made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged unless:

a manufacturer defect is evident and reported within 48 hours (2 business days) from the date it was received,
damaged during shipping (a separate claim must be filed with the shipping carrier and also must be reported within 48 hours after being received),
or in the even that the order was erroneously process such as an error was made on the size of the book or color/style, compared to the original recorded order.

COVID PROTOCOL

This is the Covid Policy 2021 as of 2 January 2021. This policy comes into affect immediately and will be adhered to at all time,

Masks will be worn by me at all times. Masks are to be worn by my clients when I am not photographing the individual at hand. Sanitizer will be given to everyone prior to the shoot and after the session is complete. I will attempt to stay at least 1.5m from you at all times. Should the need arise for me to come closer I will ask your permission to do so. Shoots will be no longer than an hour long. In the event that a large crowd gathers around us while photographing your shoot, we will move to a quieter, safer location.

Samantha Jackson Photography Studio Covid Policy,

The studio and all equipment used will be santizered prior to your arrival.

You will be asked to remove your shoes while in the studio.

If Hair and Make up is required , our make up artist, will wear a mask at all times and all equipment will be sanitized prior to your arrival.

For the safety of myself and the studio, should you wish to bring your own props, please bring them a day or two before so I can wash and disinfect the prop you would like to use.

Masks are to be worn at all times in the studio, if you are not being photographed, I, Samantha Jackson, will wear my mask at all times.

The Samantha Jackson Photography studio is small so immediate family only, Should you wish to have photographs with extended family (grannies / grandpas) we will need to schedule a separate session outdoors. I can only have 4 people in the studio at a time.

Should I feel some symptoms of flu like symptoms or become unwell, I will immediately inform you and we will reschedule once I am completely symptom free or at the end of my quarentine period.

Should you or any members of your family be symptomatic please inform me immediately and we will reschedule once you are completely symptom free or at the end of your quarantine period.

I will not be held liable in the event of you or your family members becoming ill shortly after having a session.
